Spring into Shared Lives

Could you be a Shared Lives Carer?
Could you look after an adult in your own home, provide the best level of care and support and welcome them as a valued member of your family?
As a Shared Lives Carer, you will have the opportunity to share your life and home with someone with whom you have been carefully matched. You will receive training to meet the person’s care and support needs and you will have ongoing support throughout your Shared Lives journey by our skilled and experienced Shared Lives staff. No Shared Lives arrangement will take place unless all parties are happy to go ahead.

Registered Manager of Hull’s Shared Life Scheme
Meet Sarah, Katie and Chris as they explain how wonderful the Shared Lives scheme is -
The scheme needs people with a big heart, strong family values and room in their home. Care for an adult who needs support and enable them to live a fulfilled life and as independently as possible.
You can support people on a long-term basis, (for as long as you both need and want) or, for short breaks and respite, such as one weekend a month or an occasional week to give a main carer a break. This will give you the flexibility to provide care and support as and when you can.
